FRANK SCATURRO 4TH DISTRICT CONGRESSIONAL CANDIDATE ASKS, “WHERE’S WALDO?” AS BLAKEMAN DODGES DEBATE

In another disappointing public forum, Frank Scaturro, Congressional Candidate in CD-4, once again was the only Republican and Conservative candidate to appear at Monday’s Uniondale Community Council pre-primary event at the Uniondale Public Library.  Said Scaturro of his opponent, Mr. Blakeman’s, failure to appear, “Our electoral process should give the voting public the opportunity to closely examine the record and positions of prospective candidates so they can cast an intelligent vote. An informed electorate is critical for democracy to function.” The Primary is scheduled for Tuesday, June 24th. Scaturro continued that “My opponent has chosen to play ‘Where’s Waldo,’ purposely evading any sort of open dialogue and debate to help Republican and Conservative voters choose their nominee.”

This was the third no-show for Blakeman.  He failed to appear at an April 28 “Meet the Candidates” forum in Long Beach.  He also turned down an invitation from the League of Women Voters to discuss where he stands on issues at their Candidates Forum, which had been planned for Molloy College in Rockville Centre on June 16.  As a result, the debate was cancelled.

To add insult to injury—on the same day as Blakeman’s Uniondale no-show—his campaign robo-called voters with a “WARNING” about Frank Scaturro falsely accusing him of giving another vote to Nancy Pelosi and recycling a long discredited lie that Scaturro is a liberal by dropping the name Arlen Specter with falsified chronology.  (Scaturro worked exclusively for Senate Judiciary Committee Republicans, including Specter before he switched parties.)  Unfortunately, because Mr. Blakeman never appears at public candidate forums, he cannot be questioned about the truth of this or his equally slanderous TV commercials.

Frank Scaturro Calls for Action on Kidnapped Students

CARLE PLACE, NY— Frank Scaturro, Republican and Conservative 4th Congressional District candidate, calls on the United States government to assist in the return of three kidnapped teenagers, one reportedly an American citizen, in Israel.

Scaturro said, “We stand in solidarity with the people of Israel and the Jewish people worldwide in condemning in the strongest terms the recent kidnappings of 3 Jewish students—Gilad Shaar, Eyal Yifrach, and Naftali Frenkel—in Israel by Palestinian terrorists. We join the government of Israel in holding the Palestinian Authority’s president, Mahmoud Abbas, responsible for the safe return of these students to their families.”

He added, “The Obama administration, with the support of Hillary Clinton, Susan Rice, and John Kerry, ignored Israel’s repeated warnings of the dangers of trusting the Palestinian Authority. This administration has referred to Abbas as a ‘true partner for peace.’ Last week, Fatah signed a unity agreement with the Hamas terrorist organization, which was supported by this administration. Again, Israel’s warnings were ignored.”

“We call on President Obama, Susan Rice, and John Kerry to condemn the kidnapping of Gilad Shaar, Eyal Yifrach, and Naftali Frenkel, and to demand the immediate safe return of the students, with the threat of cessation of any and all financial assistance to the Palestinian Authority until they are returned safely.”

Frank Scaturro: A Call For Conservative Reform

OF THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE

A Call for Conservative Reform

text of Frank Scaturro Rally speech, June 14, 2014

The spirit of freedom is a powerful thing.  It gave us our independence.  It gave us our Constitution.  It emancipated the slaves.  It drove despots abroad into the dustbin of history.  Generation upon generation sacrificed—many making the ultimate sacrifice—to make America the greatest country the world has ever known.

Since I first ran for our congressional seat, I’ve met thousands of our neighbors in our congressional district, which covers about half of Nassau County.  They come from every walk of life, from different races and religions, and they have different stories.  Some were immigrants, as my own father was, and they demonstrated how well the immigrant work ethic reinforced the American work ethic.  Like so many of my neighbors, I was brought up to cherish faith, family, character, respect for every person’s dignity, and a commitment to playing by the rules—which, as I got older, became a commitment to the rule of law.  These are the values that built the American dream.

Top-ranked House Conservative Calls Blakeman Attacks on Scaturro "so big a lie as to make Bill Clinton blush."

P1000516.JPG

I'm Trent Franks, and I'm writing to you about Frank Scaturro, who is running for Congress in your District – the Fourth District of New York, whose primary is June 24th - just a few days away.

I am blessed to have served in Congress for 12 years, where I have a 100% Heritage Action Scorecard, a 100% Club for Growth Rating, and am consistently ranked as one of the most conservative members of Congress. I say this not to impress you, but so you believe me when I tell you Frank Scaturro is a life-long, hard-working, Constitutional, solid, conservative Republican in the truest sense.

Recently, his Republican opponent, a tax-hiking former Nassau County legislator named Bruce Blakeman, has fraudulently labeled Frank “an Arlen Specter liberal" in what I can only describe as a piece of propaganda large enough and so big a lie as to make Bill Clinton blush.

Déjà vu All Over Again!

NHP_GOP_plaque__IMG_3078.jpg

It’s appropriate to quote President Ronald Reagan on the latest Bruce Blakeman/Nassau GOP campaign piece: “There you go again.”

Once again, taking his cue from party bosses desperate to destroy a Nassau Republican they don’t control, Blakeman has recycled the same lies from past primary campaigns.  Not only are these latest campaign pieces despicable and outright lies, but they also insult the voters of the 4th Congressional District.

Here are the facts.
